Easter eggs
Ingredients:
3 eggs
slice of red bell pepper
slice of carrot
bits of cheese
Directions:
Place the eggs in cold water (sufficient to cover the eggs) in a covered saucepan.
Bring to a boil, turn off the heat & let the eggs soak in the hot water for about 10mins.
Pour the hot water away & soak the eggs in cold water for 10mins.
Remove the egg shells.
Cut 1 small triangle (forms the "beak") & 3 bigger triangles (form the "feet" & "crown" of the Rooster) from the slice of red bell pepper.
Make zig-zag cuts along the base of the 3 bigger triangles of red bell pepper.
Cut 2 small triangles (form the beaks) & 2 bigger triangles (form the "feet") from the slice of carrot.
Make zig-zag cuts along the base of the 2 bigger triangles of carrot.
Cut 6 tiny circles from bits of cheese (form the "eyes").
On one of the eggs, make zig-zags cuts around the the egg-white, about 1/3 from the bottom of the egg. Do not to cut too deeply into the yolk.
Remove the top of the egg-white careful from the yolk.
Place 2 tiny circles of cheese & a small triangle of carrot on the yolk to form the eyes & beak of a chick hatching from the egg.
On the remaining 2 eggs, make tiny incisions in the middle of one side of the eggs & the top of one of the eggs.
Push a small triangle of red bell pepper into the incision of one of the eggs & a small triangle of carrot into the other egg to form the beaks.
Push a bigger triangle of red bell pepper into the incision on the top of the egg with the red beak to form the crown of the Rooster.
Place 2 bigger triangles of the red bell pepper & carrot under the bottom of the respective eggs to form the feet.
Place 2 tiny circles of cheese on each of the eggs to form the eyes.
Serve the Easter eggs to your hungry furby!
