Pumpkin Soup

Ingredients:

  • 500g pumpkin

  • 1 cup pet milk (or low-fat milk, water or chicken stock if your pet is lactose-intolerant)

  • 1 1/2 cup boiled water

  • 2 tablespoon unsalted butter

  • 2 tablespoon apple sauce

  • Dried parsley

Directions:

  1. De-seed the pumpkin by scraping off the seeds & pulp with a spoon.

  2. Trim off the skin of the pumpkin with a knife.

  3. Cut the pumpkin into chunks.

  4. Transfer the pieces of pumpkin into a steamer.

  5. Boil some water in a pot, place the steamer in it & steam for about 15 mins or until the pumpkin pieces are soft in the middle.

  6. Transfer the steamed pumpkin into a mixing bowl.

  7. Add the unsalted butter & apple sauce & mash the pumpkin with a fork or spoon thoroughly.

  8. Add pet milk & water into the mixing bowl & mix well with a spoon or whisk. Add more pet milk or water if the mashed pumpkin mixture is still quite thick until the mixture reaches the consistency you want.

  9. Add a dash of pet milk & a pinch of dried parsley before serving to your beloved pet!
